What you can do on a Galapagos Islands vacation: cell phone use

For some people, going on holiday is a time to leave the laptop at home, switch off the cell phone and forget about the outside world. For others, the thought of being out of reach of friends and family while away is terrifying. And sometimes the demands of modern business dictate that you have to be available at the other end of a phone – wherever you are.

Galapagos and Ecuador package: hotel based tours vs expeditions

Most people who visit the Galapagos Islands do so cruising aboard a ship or yacht. It’s without doubt a great way to get around and see as much of the islands as possible. However, a life at sea is not for everyone, and with occasionally choppy waters, a Galapagos Islands cruise is not for those who don’t have their sea legs. So, what is the alternative on your Galapagos and Ecuador package?

Plan an exotic excursion to Galapagos

Ecuador has not received quite the attention on the global stage as some other countries, but that doesn't mean it’s not known for anything. It is known for the Amazon Rainforest, Sampedrino music, chicha (corn beer), llamas, and Otavalo. But what Ecuador is best known for is, owning the Galapagos Islands. The islands are an archipelago (an island group or island chain, cluster or collection of islands) of volcanic islands distributed around the equator, located over 600 miles out into the Pacific Ocean, 972 km west of continental Ecuador. These islands are best known for their vast number of endemic species, which were studied by Charles Darwin during the voyage of the Beagle. At first, they appear to be desolate. Yet, these rough and rocky isles are home to wonderfully strange and abundant wildlife that are found nowhere else on earth. With a population of slightly over 25,000, the Island is naturally beautiful; uncluttered and undisturbed by outside interferences.

Why visit galapagos?

Galapagos is a rare destination with distinctive character, terrain, climate, and wildlife. You get an opportunity to get up close with human- friendly animals and click photos. From the world's only seagoing lizards, flightless cormorants and penguins, inflatable frigate birds, clownish boobies, patriarchal tortoises and 13 species of Darwin finches, to an incredible mix of polar and tropical species, from penguins and fur seals to flamingos and tropical fish you'll find them all, under one place!
The place is a heaven for all the wildlife and nature lovers. These rough and rocky isles are home to some of the wonderfully strange and abundant wildlife.

If you are planning a visit to any of the islands of Galapagos Islands, search for best travel agencies that will help you select the right Galapagos tours at a fair price and provide in-depth knowledge about various possible opportunities you can avail. Voyagers travel Services provides Hotels and Resorts, Airline and Package Tours Reservation Service. They have arranged complied and organized online information and resources for travel reservations and package tours in Galapagos Islands. Additionally, make good use of their diving tours and courses services that they offer.

Darwin and Galapagos

The 18th of September of 1835, Charles Darwin visited the #Galapagos Islands and was later inspired to write his theory of evolution. It all revolves around the beak of a finch.

Voyager's Travel Company - Captain and Clark

Voyagers Travel was our cruise agency of choice and they did not disappoint. In a matter of hours they had us set up to sail on the beautiful Galapagos Odyssey. For the girl that never thought she'd like cruises, I sure adapted well. Did you know that on the Galapagos Odyssey you get fed multiple times a day? I'm not just talking about the staples- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You get snacks. Good snacks. I'm talking pizza, empanadas, and fresh squeezed juice. We even had a complete turkey dinner on our last night. A full turkey! Not only that, but it was relaxing. It was the first time that we were able to go on a trip and actually relax. There wasn't really a choice. Once the ship starts moving, you have to stay on it. Pair that with all of our shore-side activities and we definitely got the best of both worlds. CaptainAndClark.com

Virtual Trek through the Galapagos Islands

A virtual trek through the Galapagos Islands with google street view, an amazing opportunity to explore the Enchanted Isles from your desktop. This savage garden that inspired Charles Darwin to write his theory of evolution is now accessible for armchair travelers as well through Google's state of the art maping technology. A new era is awakening, virtual tourism, today anyone can explore in "real time" the far flung places of the earth, Himalayas, Patagonia, Antarctica ... no limits! I do have to admit that there is nothing like the real thing: Swimming off the beach a Gardner Bay on Espanola Island and being surrounded by sea lions! No camera can beat this... yet.

Check out streetview in Galapagos

Streetview cam in Galapagos, fresh pictures you do not get to see every day! Amazing, definitely getting out of the office and jumping in for a swim with the sea lions.
